About Bateman – Anonymous Tip-offs
Bateman Engineering has earned a sound public reputation for honest and ethical business practices. In a continuous commitment to enhance and entrench our values, we have contracted Deloitte’s Tip-offs Anonymous, to provide us with an independent whistleblowing hotline.
This hotline is made available to all our stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers and contractors, to report any suspected unethical behaviour.
Bateman Engineering has established the following governing policies:
How does Tip-offs Anonymous work?
You can report any dishonesty concerning Bateman Engineering to Tip-offs Anonymous. Should you so require, you may remain completely anonymous, so no-one at Bateman Engineering will know that you were the person that made the tip-off.
Anyone can contact Tip-offs Anonymous. Trained operators respond to calls in a professional and friendly manner and the contact centre is operational for 24hrs a day, 365 days a year.
The information is then screened / sanitised so that when the reports are fed back to Bateman Engineering, there is no trace of who made the call.
Tip-offs Anonymous will not reveal the identity of the caller unless they are
given permission from the caller.
What should be reported to Tip-offs Anonymous?
- Any wrongdoing (unethical behaviour, suspected theft / fraud, etc.);
- Not obeying the law or company policies and procedures (e.g. drinking alcohol at work, etc.);
- Abuse of company property and equipment;
- Suspected bribery and/or corruption;
- Highly sensitive and serious issues, such as acts of discrimination, sexual harassment, emotional blackmail, etc;
- The unauthorised divulgence of confidential information to third parties.
This service should not to be used for reporting of employment grievances or complaints, which are to be reported through the available Human Resources channels.

- Date, time and place of incident?
- Who do you believe to be involved?
- What are the grounds for your suspicion?
- Does this happen regularly?
- Is there money involved?
- Are there any other witnesses?
