Bateman Minerals & Metals conducts its large-project business through five commodity business lines, being Base Metals, Diamonds, Gold, Industrial Minerals and Platinum-Group Metals (PGMs). These units concentrate on specific industry sectors and target the larger EPCM (engineering, procurement, construction and management) and LSTK (lump-sum turnkey) projects.

In respect of these large projects, a special project-execution function coordinates the construction, engineering, process engineering, project control, project management and quality control disciplines.

Six technology-based business lines concentrate on the smaller, turnkey projects based on technologies in which BATEMAN has developed expertise. These are Modular Plants, Pyrometallurgy, Special Projects, Metals Extraction, Metals Purification and Minerals Dressing. The first three lines are fully operational, but the last three are still in the process of being set up.
