Run of Mine Tip at Skorpion Zinc, Namibia |
Bateman designs complete ROM Tips with a specific focus on the
selection of feeders and associated equipment. The service ranges from
the analysis, testing and modelling of the flow of bulk materials, through
to the design, selection and installation of the equipment making up
the entire system.
The one point of responsibility for the design and selection of the
entire ROM Tip system, rather than the individual selection of pieces
of equipment, ensures that all components of the system are integrated
for optimum performance along the entire flow sheet.
This results in :
- Optimised feeder systems, critical to a successful ROM Tip system,
with guaranteed performance and reduced maintenance costs and expensive
downtime.
- Reduced product degradation
- Reduced spillage and loss of product which may pollute the environment.
- Reduced power consumption.
BATEMAN's total service encompasses
- Comprehensive analysis, testing and modelling of the bulk flow of
the materials involved, without which blockages will occur in the
system.
- Design of the entire system using advanced procedures, including
:
- Silo and bin geometric optimisation
- Feeder Forces
- Absorbed Power
- Selection of the equipment components of the system, including
bulk-material storage (bins, silos, stockpiles, etc), transfer chutes
and feeders, ensuring that components
- interface effectively with each other
- are capable of coping with the flow characteristics of the
bulk materials to be handled by the system.
- Installation and commissioning.
The design and selection of crushers, screens and conveyors most appropriate
for the system can also be provided.
