Dry DeSOx system with reagent injection system, reactor and bag filter.

The Simatek "Dry Flue Gas Cleaning Concept" is based on a wide range of biomass plants and waste incinerators. The cleaning required is often not only to collect fly ash to fulfil dust emisssion requirements, but also to absorb acid components such as HCL, SO2 HF etc. by the dry injection of Ca(OH)2 or NaHCO2 and further to absorb dioxins (PCDD/F) and heavy metals by activated carbon.

The systems feature :

  • Extended retention time of reagent materials on the filter media over long periods of time ensure maximum utilisation and efficiency.

The advantages are :

  • No internal moving parts
  • Simple and safe operation
  • Top gas entry into the cylindrical filter housing creates a downward flow which supports a gravimetric gas stream along the filter bags with proportional distribution of any reagent materials
  • High availability
  • Simple, economical methods of chemical reagent materials injection for chemical treatment of flue gases.
  • Pre-absorption by means of a reactor prior to filtration.
  • Efficient utilisation of reagent materials.
  • Semi-intelligent bag cleaning control system results in extended bag life.
  • Low emissions especially the sub-micron range of particles which are usually the carriers of the toxic elements.
  • High operating temperatures
  • Long chemical reagent material contact time with the flue gases ensure maximum utilisation and chemical adsorption.
